The Planet - The Beast

A blog dealing with giant movie monsters got in contact with us recently. They wanted to feature a big spanky image of the main 'god' monster from the film. Mark Stirton, director bloke, asked me to fluff up an image of the beast for inclusion in the site - so I did.

I won't post it here as it's a bit spoilery, but if you really want to look it's on this site
Undead Backbrain. The beast is rendered from the original model Mark animated in the movie, this version was rendered in Vue 6, as was the background. The wee chaps are purely for scale - or comedy effect.

Thanks for the words of comfort, advice, and support. I can't tell how much it means to me! Thank you always.

Your work is great Lauren, always happy to comment on good stuff. I am of course totally jealous of talent, I have to get plug ins for that. :)

It's true. He has no talent. He tried drawing a face once and we all laughed.

I meant last week.

Actually I don't have much talent either. These days Kerwin does most of the real work.

Hey...noticed for the first time that the BEAST don't have no JUNK as it were. That is something that my SPFX guy, Ron asked me about..."does the Garum have his manliness?" "NO," I replied. "500 years of running blind through a forest would leave him wanting in that area...that would explain his extreme hostility...perhaps."

Anyway...just noticed that the BEAST of Planet and the GARUM of Darkness, could be brothers.

Yup, no junk on our beast. I'm trying to think of any movie monster with man parts..

Nobzilla perhaps.

He did have huge balls and a meaty cock, but McNeals first shot with the plasma canon took them off. That why he's chasing the guys. He want his nuts back.

It's a very multi-layered film you know.

nice. Tacky, but nice. glad all is working out.

I'd ask Clarky to do a 'junked up' version, but I fear the resultant image would be too hideous to look upon without special Star Trek filter goggles.
